In collaboration with anorak, artist and filmmaker Cammisa Buerhaus will present If You Please, the second iteration of a screening series of artist made short films between the genres of erotica, horror, and dark comedy. Films by Felix Bernstein & Gabe Rubin, Friedl vom Gröller, Peter Oehl & Markus Ludwig, Cammisa Buerhaus & Nicola T. Madison, and He Xiaopei will be shown, along with a staging of Derek McCormack’s play The Well-Dressed Wound, performed by Daria Bertram, Arthur Chruszcz, Bully Fae Collins, Deniz Ilhan, Luca Lang, Tess Sahara, Leslie Salazar, Clara Sartor, and Greta v. Drygalski.
The night continues with a DJ set of music that Buerhaus released on her NYC-based imprint, Wild Flesh Productions. Wild Flesh Productions releases music made by non-musicians – painters, social workers, writers, housewives. The set will be accompanied by a zine expanding on the musical and cultural impetus behind the label.
anorak is an artistic-curatorial collective, a registered non-profit organisation, and an independent art space in Berlin-Tempelhof, run by Lukas Ludwig and Johanna Markert. With a focus on artists’ moving image, performance, and sound, anorak offers a space for sincere and mutual exchange enabling artists to produce, present and critically discuss their work. Since 2015 anorak’s artistic programme unfolds in screenings, exhibitions, dinners, and workshops and has been shaped by long-term collaborations with local and international artists and cultural institutions. In 2023 anorak moved into a new space in Berlin Tempelhof which is part of the Workspace Programme of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, Kultur Räume Berlin.
