In the idea of parallel play, children play side by side without trying to influence each other's behaviour. Nevertheless, an observer will notice that they occasionally see what the others are doing and adapt their play accordingly. (1)

Parallel Play functions as a coordinate to link long-forgotten meanings into a multi-player system: two painters, two curators, two designers and the concept of b2b collaborations within an ongoing activation programme.

A Balkan childhood becomes a scenario for unexplored configurations; not only within the participating media, but also between Eastern European and Western European narratives as a whole. Mirroring the development of a child's imagination shaped by the raw essence of everyday life; memories, myths and mysticism collide with the influence of mass consumption and the post-internet era. The result is alternative - and often contradictory - reality systems that coexist in their own worldviews.

Ostensibly avoiding falling into ready-made categories of the ‘other’, works, elements and spaces act as missing link URLs that connect old, hyper-contemporary and collective imaginaries to present a nuanced portrait in all its beauty and disorder.

On the evening of 26 June, postorganic bauplan will present a performance incorporating their own bodies and artefacts of prosthetic technology. As an artistic duo and at the same time dissolving existing binary categories, their live performance is an exercise in perceptual extremes. Producer Bungalovv will accompany their performance with a remake of the exhibition's original sound piece.

In addition, an ongoing installation by Bungalovv will be presented in parallel to the exhibition events in the principle of storytelling through atmospheric shifts. Both spatial and sound design will merge into scenic devices to enhance the emotional resonance of the parallel play.

Post-organic Bauplan want to develop their own corporal plan, to inhabit an undefined body. The non-organic devices (prostheses) become a source of expansion and a tool for training a corporeality outside the institutionalization of the productive and natural body, making possible a new relationship with the environment and allowing us to rethink our corporeal limits.

COUNCIL+

COUNCIL+ is a project space in Berlin Moabit. Its main focus is on promoting cultural, artistic and collective projects in the field of visual arts. The aim of the space is to create a framework that enables democratic and equal interaction between all participants. C+ organises events, in particular exhibitions as well as concerts, readings, film evenings, video installations and performances: projects that enrich the socio-cultural landscape in Berlin.

Since November last year, artists, supported by the Erasmus+ programme from Liechtenstein, have also been given the opportunity to take part in a 4-month residency programme. COUNCIL+ ZEAL RESIDENCY is primarily aimed at young artists and offers them studio space, workshop use, financial support and a final exhibition in their premises.

Through its diverse programme, C+ creates meeting places to offer new perspectives on different discourses and give visitors access to new spaces of experience. Diversity and inclusion are particularly important to C+, which supports artists from different cultural and social backgrounds.

The artistic directors of COUNCIL+ are Mike Morlock and Tim Rosenbaum.
