Berlin Kreuzberg: In the dust and glow of the sun, on a young wasteland between wildly parked cars, the Tina Coupé karaoke car is ready for you: get in and sing together. Here you can find songs that you can only hear in here, with video clips that can only be seen in the Tina Coupé. With four new works by: Michaela Lakova, Diese Frau, Ildikó Buckley & Marco Meiran and Tintin Patrone. And of course with Tina Coupés evergreens by Christian Diaz, Justina Los, Elisa Jule Braun & Moritz Stumm, Bruno Siegrist, Lola Göller, Alice Heron, Carola Uehlken & Arthur Debert, Ute Waldhausen, H.O.LL.Y.W.OO.D. and TREPTOWERZ.
Your voice makes every song unique, you complete the work of art, always new, always different and always just right, failure impossible - you are all stars.
The participatory exhibition event FROM DUST WITHDRAWN can be found in the triangle formed by Markgrafenstraße, Rudi-Dutschke-Straße and Lindenstraße, accessed from Lindenstraße number 80. This is where a large corporation planned to build a 200 million new-build project with 15,000 m2 of office space and 1,000 m2 for flats, with construction due to start in early 2023. The site has been empty for almost two years since the demolition of the previous, actually functional building from the 1970s. Residents moved the construction fences and have been using the sandy area as a car park ever since.

Tina Coupé
Tina Coupé is a hybrid between installation, exhibition space for video art, party machine and participatory platform for improvised singing:
A karaoke booth is installed in changing, modified vehicles, equipped with video and song material that is specially produced by artists for the programme.
As a nomadic space, the car tours through the city and countryside. Wherever it stops, the audience is invited to take a seat in the vehicle and sing.
The Tina Coupé concept questions the precarious spatial and financial situation of project spaces and artistic free spaces in general and attempts to evade these problems through its design.
We see singing together in karaoke as a social practice for sharing stories and emotions.
The idea of using karaoke in a car as an exhibition format was born during the coronavirus pandemic, when Flavio Degen and Lola Göller were thinking together about ways of meeting people in the context of protective measures. The premiere finally took place in spring 2023 under the title ‘Vanishing Point’, as a collaboration with +DEDE in response to the loss of their location.
In the period that followed, Lola Göller and Flavio Degen continued to develop the project and have since run it as an independent space under the name Tina Coupé.
